Unfathomable – Arkham Horror Files Board Game

Unfathomable is a semi-cooperative board game of hidden loyalties, suspicion and horror set aboard the steamship SS Atlantica in 1913. Two days into its voyage across the Atlantic, strange nightmares, mysterious sightings and a ritualistic murder leave the passengers and crew facing a threat from beneath the waves.

For 3 to 6 players, Unfathomable sees players take on the roles of passengers and crew fighting to keep the Atlantica afloat and reach Boston. However, some players may secretly be traitors working to ensure the ship never reaches its destination. With hidden loyalties, deciding who can be trusted is central to the game.

Human players must defend the ship from the Deep Ones, manage four crucial resources and deal with the crises that arise throughout the voyage. At the end of each player’s turn, a Mythos card introduces a new crisis that the group must resolve, while skill tests allow hidden traitors opportunities to secretly sabotage the group’s efforts.

Unfathomable features ten playable characters, each with their own mysterious past, alongside plastic monster figures representing the horrors threatening the SS Atlantica.
