7 Wonders Duel – Rules of Play says:

7 Wonders is a Rules of Play favourite and it now has a new incarnation in 7 Wonders Duel. As the name suggests this is a new version of the popular game now specially developed for two players. As the leader of one of the 7 great cities of the Ancient World you’re tasked with gathering resources, developing commercial routes, and affirming your military supremacy. Build your city and erect an architectural wonder which will transcend future times.

Duel does have some gameplay changes to make it work with a reduced numbers of player but it keeps the same theme and overall game structure, so if you’re a fan of the original but you might not always be able to get enough players to get a game going, this is the version for you!
