ICM B-26F Marauder, WWII American Bomber 1:48 Scale Plastic Model Kit

The ICM B-26F Marauder model kit (kit number 48325) is a highly detailed 1:48 scale plastic model designed for hobbyists and scale model builders. This unassembled model kit requires assembly and is suitable for ages 14 and up. Made in Ukraine, ICM Plastic Kits is known for its impressive selection of detailed scale model kits that cater to enthusiasts who appreciate accuracy and craftsmanship.

The B-26F Marauder features significant modifications, including a redesigned wing structure that increased the angle of attack by 3.5 degrees. This enhancement allowed for a shorter takeoff run by approximately 90 metres, reduced takeoff speed, and decreased landing distance, although it slightly lowered the maximum flight speed. The model accurately represents the geometry and proportions of the real aircraft, including a detailed recreation of both cockpit and fuselage components.

This model kit includes 380 parts, with a length of 387 mm and a width of 454 mm, ensuring an engaging and satisfying building experience. The kit comes with comprehensive assembly instructions and decals for three aircraft versions, each featuring unique nose art designs:

• B-26F-1-MA 42-96255 “Miss Manookie”, 586th Bombardment Squadron, 394th Bombardment Group, Holmsley South, August 1944
• B-26F-1-MA 42-96281 “Redlight Rosie”, 587th Bombardment Squadron, 394th Bombardment Group, 1944
