Death & The Landsknecht – Pike & Shotte Supplement

Death & The Landsknecht – Pike & Shotte Supplement

Death & the Landsknecht is a 100-page paperback supplement for the historical wargame Pike & Shotte, bringing the Italian Wars of the 15th and 16th centuries to vivid life on the tabletop. Written by Charles Singleton, this first printing expansion requires a copy of the Pike & Shotte rulebook and allows players to explore one of the most transformative periods in European military history.

The supplement focuses on the brutal and brilliant clashes between the Holy Roman Empire, France, Spain, and the diverse Italian states during the Italian Wars. This era marked the pivotal shift from medieval warfare to the use of pike blocks and arquebus fire, forever altering battlefield tactics. Players can field colourful and formidable mercenary forces such as the Landsknechts and Swiss — legendary soldiers known for their discipline, flamboyant attire and unrelenting aggression.

Packed with new army lists, historical scenarios and background, Death & the Landsknecht allows players to lead armies of Condottieri and engage in campaigns that defined the Renaissance period. Whether commanding Swiss pikemen or Imperial arquebusiers, this supplement enriches any historical wargamer’s Pike & Shotte collection.
