Beastars Vol. 16 By Paru Itagaki

Beastars vol. 16 by Paru Itagaki continues the acclaimed manga series exploring the complex world of predators and prey, social hierarchies, and interspecies relationships. This 208 page paperback, rated for older teens, is ideal for manga enthusiasts, graphic novel collectors, and readers who enjoy character driven storytelling, moral dilemmas, and dramatic tension.

In this volume grey wolf Legoshi teams up with Beastar horse Yahya to track down a dangerous mixed-species elephant poacher, testing both his courage and strategic skills. Meanwhile, grey wolf Juno meets with red deer Louis to understand why a relationship between them is impossible, revealing the emotional and societal barriers that shape their lives. Legoshi and Juno reflect on the challenges and drawbacks of loving a member of another species, deepening their character arcs.

As the story unfolds, Legoshi falls into a perilous trap that only a stranger’s unexpected intervention can resolve, while Louis receives a compelling offer that may alter his future and position within predator-prey society. Beastars vol. 16 combines action, romance, suspense, and social commentary, making it a must read for older teen manga fans, graphic novel collectors, and anyone captivated by morally complex storytelling.
