Italeri Tornado GR.1 Desert Storm 1:32 Scale Model Kit

The Italeri Tornado GR.1 Desert Storm 1:32 scale model kit is a highly detailed and advanced plastic model designed for expert modellers. Featuring more than 350 precision parts, photo-etched details, and multiple build options, this impressive kit recreates the power and engineering of the Royal Air Force’s Tornado GR.1 strike aircraft from the 1991 Gulf War.

Developed through a joint collaboration between Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom, the Tornado project produced a multirole combat aircraft capable of low-altitude, supersonic strike missions. The twin-engine, two-seat Tornado GR.1 was optimised for ground-attack operations and became a crucial part of the RAF’s air power during Operation Desert Storm. Known for its variable-geometry wings and terrain-following capability, the Tornado demonstrated exceptional versatility and combat performance throughout its service.

This Italeri kit offers an extensive range of options, including a removable RB199 engine with support trolley, movable ailerons, open or closed thrust reversers, retracted or extended flaps and slats, and a fully detailed radar system with openable radome. It also includes a super decal sheet with markings for four versions, rubber tyres, colour instruction manual, and cockpit masking sheets. Figures not included. Once assembled, the model measures approximately 52.1 cm in length.

Perfect for experienced aircraft modellers and collectors seeking a centrepiece build, this kit delivers accuracy, scale realism, and historical depth. Available now at Mighty Lancer Games – your friendly local gaming shop for model kits, paints, tools, and hobby accessories.
