Italeri Sd.Kfz. 232 6-Rad Armoured Car 1:72 Scale Plastic Model Kit WWII German Recon Vehicle

The Italeri Sd.Kfz. 232 6-Rad is a detailed 1:72 scale plastic model kit representing one of the Wehrmacht’s most important early-war reconnaissance vehicles. Introduced in the mid-1930s, the Sd.Kfz. 232 heavy armoured car played a vital role in German blitzkrieg tactics, combining high mobility with advanced radio communications to support fast-moving military operations.

This six-wheeled armoured reconnaissance vehicle was designed to operate effectively both on-road and off-road, making it ideal for scouting, command, and communication duties. A key feature of the Sd.Kfz. 232 was its enhanced radio equipment, originally supported by a large frame antenna, later replaced with a vertical antenna to maintain reliable long- and short-range battlefield communications. Its turret-mounted armament provided sufficient defensive firepower while conducting forward reconnaissance missions.

The completed model measures approximately 8.5cm in length and includes decals for four different versions, allowing modellers to recreate the vehicle in a variety of operational environments. The kit is suitable for ages 14 and up and is perfect for WWII dioramas, wargaming terrain, or historical model collections. Figures are not included, giving hobbyists the freedom to customise scenes as desired.

This kit requires assembly and painting and is ideal for scale modellers with an interest in World War II German armoured vehicles and early-war reconnaissance units.
