Raise a fierce raiding warband with the Victrix Dark Age Irish & Dogs miniature set. Representing Irish warriors from the 4th to 11th centuries, this impressive collection captures the warriors, nobles and famous Irish wolfhounds that fought throughout the turbulent Dark Age period.
Irish warbands were renowned for their mobility, conducting lightning-fast raids, ambushes and skirmishes against neighbouring kingdoms and settlements. Throughout this era they fought rival Irish clans, Late Roman forces, Welsh kingdoms, Picts, Romano-British armies, Saxons and Vikings, while also establishing settlements in parts of Scotland and Wales.
This comprehensive set includes a mixture of lightly armed warriors, elite armoured nobles and chieftains, dog handlers and powerful Irish wolfhounds. Armed with spears, javelins, swords and clubs, these miniatures allow hobbyists to create authentic Dark Age forces for historical wargaming, painting projects and display collections. The included Irish wolfhounds add a unique and characterful element to your army, reflecting the historical use of large hunting dogs that could pursue enemies across the battlefield.
