Traveller Core Rulebook 2016 Ed. – Rules of Play says:
The new Traveller has arrived, the product of many years tweaking, adjusting and listening to the thousands of players who have travelled the universe of the far future.
Based on the Classic Traveller rules set, this book has been streamlined for modern roleplaying. With complete rules for character and world creation, spaceships, encounters and trading, it is your gateway into new universes.
The Traveller Core Rulebook is the foundation for all your Traveller games, which can then be expanded upon with core supplements and different settings.
