The Airfix Consolidated B-24 Liberator 1:72 scale model kit is an ideal choice for military aviation enthusiasts, scale modellers and hobbyists seeking to recreate one of the most iconic heavy bombers of the Second World War. This historically significant aircraft, the second of America’s great four-engined bombers, was developed after the US Army Air Corps requested Consolidated Aircraft to produce B-17 Flying Fortresses. Instead, the company designed the B-24 Liberator, a distinctive aircraft with a longer range, higher speed and unique wing design.
This detailed scale aircraft model kit contains 258 precision moulded plastic parts, providing an immersive building experience for intermediate and advanced modellers. Measuring 298mm in length with an impressive 465mm wingspan, the finished model showcases the B-24’s characteristic high-aspect-ratio wing, distinctive twin tail and detailed fuselage features.
With two authentic US Air Force scheme options included, builders can choose between historically accurate liveries, supported by a full set of decals for a professional finish. The kit includes a comprehensive instruction sheet and a paint layout guide to assist with assembly and finishing. Rated skill level 3, this model offers a rewarding challenge and a striking display piece for any World War II aircraft collection.
Available now from Mighty Lancer Games, your trusted source for model kits, tabletop gaming products and hobby supplies, this Airfix B-24 Liberator is perfect for those passionate about historical accuracy, modelling craftsmanship and military aviation history.
