Airfix Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX – 1

Airfix Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX – 1:48 Scale Plastic Model Kit (A05119A)

Build one of the most elegant and powerful Spitfires ever to fly with the Airfix Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX 1:48 Scale Model Kit (A05119A). This detailed kit includes 98 precision-engineered parts and three authentic RAF marking schemes, giving Spitfire fans the perfect opportunity to recreate this iconic late-war reconnaissance aircraft.

The PR.XIX was the final photo-reconnaissance Spitfire to serve with the RAF, combining the airframe of the Mk.XI with the formidable Griffon engine of the Mk.XIV. With its sleek lines, impressive speed, and clean wing profile (with no guns fitted), it has often been hailed as one of the most beautiful Spitfire variants ever built.

Serving through the final days of WWII and into the post-war era, the Spitfire PR.XIX flew critical long-range reconnaissance missions — including the RAF’s last operational Spitfire sortie in June 1957 over Malaya.

A must-have for aviation enthusiasts and model builders alike.
