BEASTARS, Vol.5

Beastars Vol. 5 By Paru Itagaki

Beastars vol. 5 by Paru Itagaki continues the gripping manga series that blends drama, action and emotional storytelling in a world divided between predators and prey. This 200 page paperback edition, rated for older teens, is a must read for manga enthusiasts, collectors of Japanese graphic novels and fans of dark, thought provoking stories.

In this volume the stakes reach a new high when dwarf rabbit Haru is abducted by the ruthless Shishi-gumi, a violent gang of lions infamous for torturing, murdering and devouring herbivores. While the mayor promises to intervene, his loyalty is questionable as he is a lion himself. Determined to save Haru, grey wolf Legoshi follows her scent through the city, willing to risk everything in a dangerous rescue attempt. Meanwhile Haru shows resilience against her captors, balancing fear with defiance as she struggles to accept her possible fate. Elsewhere, red deer Louis faces his own dark temptation, adding another layer of complexity to this powerful story.

Beastars vol. 5 delivers a blend of tension, romance and social allegory that sets it apart from other manga series.
