Bolt Action Isuzu Type 98 AA Machine Cannon Carrier โ 28mm (1/56) Resin Model
Strengthen your Imperial Japanese force with the Isuzu Type 98 AA Machine Cannon Carrier for Bolt Action by Warlord Games. This distinctive self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle provides vital air defence and versatile battlefield firepower in 28mm scale.
Historical Background
The Isuzu Type 98 AA Machine Gun Carrier combined a Type 98 20mm automatic cannon with the rear of a Type 94, or later Type 96, six-wheeled truck chassis.
The Type 98 20mm autocannon was the most common light anti-aircraft gun used by the Imperial Japanese Army. It had a range of approximately 5,500 metres and a rate of fire of up to 300 rounds per minute.
These self-propelled anti-aircraft guns were not mass-produced, and those that saw service were deployed within the air defence units of Japanese tank divisions.
In Bolt Action
The Type 98 AA truck offers a Japanese force its sole dedicated anti-aircraft option. Armed with a platform-mounted light automatic cannon featuring the Flak special rule, it provides strong anti-air capability while remaining equally dangerous against infantry and lightly armoured ground targets.
A valuable support choice for players building a historically themed Imperial Japanese army.
