Bolt Action Type 97 Isuzu Truck โ 28mm (1/56) Resin Model
Keep your Imperial Japanese forces moving with the Type 97 Isuzu Truck for Bolt Action by Warlord Games. This reliable light transport vehicle was a mainstay of the Imperial Japanese Army throughout the Pacific War.
Historical Background
The Type 97 Light Truck was based on the Isuzu TX40, sharing components with the earlier Type 94 Truck. It became one of the principal transport vehicles of the IJA and saw service in almost every theatre of the Pacific War until 1945.
Japanese military trucks were typically built narrow to suit local road conditions and featured high ground clearance to handle rough terrain. They were often heavier than their British equivalents, and some designs closely resembled contemporary civilian trucks such as the 1939 Chevrolet.
In Bolt Action
On the tabletop, the Type 97 counts as a Light Truck, offering an inexpensive and dependable way to:
- Transport up to 8 infantry models
- Tow lighter artillery pieces
- Redeploy troops quickly across the battlefield
An essential support choice for any Imperial Japanese army list.
