This precise 1:72 scale model of the Reggiane Re.2002 “Ariete” aircraft from Italeri captures the aircraft’s design accurately, making it a delight to build and proudly display. The Reggiane Re 2002 was initially developed to enhance the ground attack capabilities of the Regia Aeronautica. It was an upgraded version of the Reggiane Re 2000, featuring a more powerful engine and additional armaments such as two extra machine guns on the wings and the ability to carry up to 500 kg of bombs. During the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943, the Re 2002 was deployed by the Regia Aeronautica, and after Italy’s armistice in September of the same year.
