Ticket to Ride: Rails & Sails – Rules of Play says:

Ticket to Ride: Rails & Sails takes the familiar gameplay of Ticket to Ride and expands it across the globe – which means that you’ll be moving across water, of course, and that’s where the sails come in. With gameplay taken from the original Ticket to Ride but with some added intricacies to reflect the extra logistics of trying to organize both train lines and shipping lanes. This is a brilliant step up for all the Ticket to Ride players that crave a little more from their games!
