The Victrix Scots and Picts Warriors set is a highly versatile collection of 36 detailed hard plastic miniatures, designed for historical tabletop wargaming in the Dark Ages. Covering two distinct and popular periods, this set represents unarmoured Pict warriors of the Late Roman era alongside Scots warriors of the Viking Age.
Spread across 6 sprues, these multipose miniatures offer a wide range of assembly options. Armed with long spears, javelins, swords, and axes, the figures can be built as disciplined spear formations, loose skirmishers, or tightly packed shield walls. The inclusion of distinctively shaped Pict shields adds further historical character and variety to your units.
Historically, the Picts, often referred to as the “Painted People”, dominated northern Scotland from the 3rd century AD, launching raids by land and sea against Roman and Romano-British territories. Later, from the 5th century onwards, the Scots crossed from Ireland and established the kingdom of Dál Riata, eventually merging with the Picts and unifying the region under Kenneth MacAlpin in the 9th century. This rich background makes the set ideal for recreating historical conflicts and campaigns on the tabletop.
These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly, making them perfect for hobbyists who enjoy customising, painting, and building unique forces. Ideal for tabletop gamers, miniature painters, and historical wargaming enthusiasts, this set is a strong addition to any Dark Ages army collection.
